For Infants (ages
5 - 12 mo)
Discovering Music for Infants is designed for infants
with their parents or care givers. Infants are very interested in music
and naturally respond to music activities. The program is designed in a
way that brings joy for both parents/care givers and babies.
A child during the first year develops the babbles; imitates sounds and
songs in vocal patterns and babble. They also create sound within a very
wide pith range, perceive direction of sounds as well as several musical
elements and perceive musical phrases. The first year of a child is the
most fruitful to start the music education to start developing the
ability, and give the conditions for the flowers of the abilities to
bloom.
Activities include: singing, rhyming, moving to different rhythms,
playing simple percussion and melodic instruments in a fun, creative and
enjoyable way to develop coordination and gross motor skills, an inner
beat for music, balance, and reinforce cognitive learning.

are 45 minutes long and held weekly

For Toddlers (ages 1 - 3 y)
Discovering Music for Toddlers is designed for toddlers
with their parents or care givers. Toddlers are very interested in music
and naturally respond to music activities. The program is designed in a
way that brings joy for both parents/care givers and children.
The musical activities of Discovering Music for Toddlers are the most
powerful source of interaction, emotional, cognitive and physical
development in a positive and supportive way for children to experiment
in their first years.
Activities include singing, rhyming, moving to different rhythms,
playing simple percussion and melodic instruments in a fun, creative and
enjoyable way to develop coordination and gross motor skills, an inner
beat for music, balance, and reinforce cognitive learning.
Classes are informal and parents or care givers must be present at all
times participating in the scheduled activities. Each child must be the
correct age at the beginning of classes. Siblings from 0 - 8 months can
participate in the program at no charge. After 8 months, siblings pay
regular tuition.
