Discovering Music for Infants
This program is designed for infants (ages 5-12 months) and their parents to begin the process of discovering music together. Classes are 45 minutes long and held weekly. They are held in a group setting with up to 20 children per class. Fall, Winter and Spring terms include 10 weeks of classes. Summer classes include 5 weeks of classes.

During the first year of a child's development, the child imitates sounds and songs in vocal patterns and babble. They also create sound within a very wide pitch range, perceive direction of sounds and other musical elements and perceive musical phrases. This year is crucial in training the ear, developing their coordination, motor skills, and balance, and reinforcing cognitive learning. All activities are presented in a fun manner but place a strong emphasis on creativity.

playing simple percussion and melodic instruments
